Kim Hyun-sik (김현식) is remembered as the ultimate persona of Korean underground soul-rock and the eternal "vocal maestro" of the 1980s. While his contemporaries pursued clean pop melodies, Kim revolutionized the music scene with his raw, gritty, and deeply emotional vocal delivery.
